Airtable Research Templates

I was having trouble researching my genetic variants along with their probable conditions, as well as other conditions I may have, and needed a way to visualize it. I found these airtable charts to be a great way for me to be able to resolve that. I hope they might help you. If you have an account already you can just copy them into your account, if you need an account you can sign up by clicking the button below and I will get a referral credit from you signing up.

Genetic Research

To use this template you need to click on “Copy base” at the bottom of the template.

Instructions

In order to use this template, start on the “Conditions” tab by entering your condition, and associated information, from your genetic report(s) you received from the lab who did your testing. DO NOT enter information into “Percent Likely, My Symptom #, or Possible Symptom #” as these columns are automatically calculated for you. Also leave the column “Possible Symptoms” for later. It is likely not all columns will be applicable to the information provided by your lab. That is okay. Just enter the information that is applicable and you can either ignore the other columns or delete them.

Once all of your information is entered in the “Conditions” tab from your lab report(s), it is time to enter symptoms. At this point you want to select a condition and lookup the symptoms associated with it. A good resource for looking up these symptoms is the NIH website (https://www.nih.gov/) for those in the USA. Once you have the list of symptoms, start entering them one by one by entering them into the “Possible Symptoms” field for that condition until they have all been entered. Once you have listed all of the possible symptoms, for all of your conditions, switch to the “Symptoms” tab and make sure the check mark is selected next to each symptom you are, or have, experience(d).

Once you complete this step, when you go back to the “Conditions” tab, you will see the “Percent Likely” field filled in giving you an idea of which conditions you might want to start looking into first with your medical providers.
